Yandere Simulator is a stealth game about a young girl and her unhealthy obsession with a boy. The goal of Yandere Simulator is to stalk your crush while secretly eliminating any girl who shows any interest in him.

You must get rid of other girls by matching her with another suitor, tarnish her reputation, or kill her when nobody is looking. Killing other classmates requires that you clean up after yourself;  any blood, weapons, and corpses must be disposed of.

The game’s challenge is to avoid any suspicion so you will need to be careful how you behave around others. 

It’s a surprisingly good stealth game even though it is in early development. There’s plenty of content and the graphics are nice; it’s sure to keep you enthralled for hours!.

Psychotic killer on the loose!

Yandere Simulator is an open-world sandbox game that mirrors many anime concepts.

While Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest provide full-featured JRPG experiences, they can be predictable and repetitive. In Yandere Simulator, you take the role of a jealous girl in love with her senpai. You will do whatever you can to get closer to him, and that includes murder! Few games have such a surprising storyline. There are enough plots to keep you engaged.

It’s the classic “girl loves boy” situation but with an intriguing twist. You are Yandere-Chan, a high school student, too shy to tell the senpai she loves how she feels. You are gentle and loving, but this is not a twee story, because you are also psychotic! You become violent when the senpai does not return your love.

What can you do? You can sabotage him of course. Any girl that comes close to him, you have to make them disappear. Permanently.

This is a demo version of the game, so there’s no win condition. What’s interesting is how the game unfolds; you discover your options as you play, which makes it feel open and responsive.. You have competition for your senpai’s love, so you’ll need to deal with that in any way you can. This usually results in more dead students!

You track schedules, photos, and teachers, and do everything you can to mislead the police. Yandere Simulator started more as a joke on the yandere trope in anime. But it’s become a game that provides many hours of creative experimentation.

While the violent concepts make sense with the subject matter, the level of blood-spatter seems to fight the anime art style that’s used in the game. This disconnect is often jarring. If you’re looking for a cutesy anime game, this is one of the signs that it’s not for you.

Also keep in mind that the game is still under development. Basic movement, like crouching, isn’t available here. You aren’t able to use the phone, which is a crucial element to the game. This development limbo also lends itself to app instability. There are occasional drops in framerate and crashing.

Gameplay

Yandere Simulator centers around Ayano Aishi, a high school girl who is obsessed with Taro Yamada. Ayano is also known as Yandere-chan and it is her life’s goal to be in a relationship with Taro or her Senpai. Within 10 in-game weeks, you must prevent other girls from piquing Senapai’s interest.

This can be accomplished through different methods ranging from peaceful to violent. You will also receive aid from a broker named Info-chan. She will provide you weapons, plans, and other items in exchange for information or blackmail material. 

The main obstacle of the Yandere Simulator is to keep Ayano from getting caught committing a crime or suffering a penalty. Anyone that catches Yandere-chan acting suspiciously or performing a criminal act will lose trust in her. This will also result in her losing her sanity which will hinder her ability to remain calm and stealthily carry out a crime.

Game over will be declared if Taro witnesses you acting suspiciously, in an act of crime, or being apprehended. Another challenge is to manage the School Atmosphere. 

Students and teachers will become more cautious and anxious about their surroundings whenever someone goes missing or is declared dead. During this time, you must bring Ayano to classes, school clubs, and other school activities to forge trusting relationships between her and her classmates.

This will allow her to gain new skills and easier access to weapons. The game has a variety of weapons that include household items, sporting goods, construction tools, and other objects that can inflict harm onto other characters.
